Intermittent Sound Issues Evans E-200
I'm experiencing some intermittent sound issues with my Evan E-200 amp. While playing the sound completely goes out and it seems like the sound will not come back until I push the volume pedal all the way down then the sound comes back super loud. I switched to a different volume pedal, and the same thing happens.
Another weird thing happened while playing with a group over the weekend. It wasn't a very big venue, so I had the master and volume settings around 4 which seemed to blend in with the band. I had the volume pedal in the off position, but when I picked one of the strings it blasted super loud. I turned the volume and master knobs down to 1 (lowest setting) and it still blasted sound as if I had the knobs on 10. It finally worked itself out but no clue what caused this.
Anyone else have similar issues and was able to correct them?
The volume pedals I have is a Goodrich H-120 with a newly replaced pot and Fender PR726. Also, from the volume pedal I'm connected to a Boss RV-3 then from there to the Evans amp.

Does it still do this with the RV-3 removed, volume pedal straight into amp? Also check with guitar straight into amp, and with various cables to rule out a bad cable.

Glenn, you might be right about a bad cable. I changed out one of the cables from the volume pedal to the RV-3 and so far, no issues. Hopefully this fixes it.
Thanks!
