Better yet, if you can only attend one day, which day would you pick?

You absolutely should come. There is huge amount of gear to look at and demo in some cases and the wealth of information from the artists and steel players is amazing. It is like being a kid in a toy store. Saturday would be my recommendation and you should attend the evening session of the players. An amazing group as always to be sure.

If you come, you will want to come back again for sure.

I asked the same thing Tony. Vice President Gene Brown told me the hotel will have shuttle service for folks flying in.

When we get closer to the show Albert usually posts the performers and their times.

Tim, It would definitely be worth your time. Not only do your hear good music but the fellowship is worth it. You will make new friends and hear some awesome playing. Some manufacturers have their own rooms and there is music going on in there. The main ballroom has the big stage where players are given 30 minute sets. It does cost to get in the ballroom but we’ll worth it. There is booths set up with merchandise for sale as well. If you can come we would love to have you.

Tim, It is well worth your time to attend. Some manufactures have their own room with music going on. The main stage requires a ticket to get in the ballroom but it is well worth it. There are booths set up with all kind of equipment. You can even try out guitars while there. It is all at one hotel which is nice. Add the fellowship that goes with it and it is a great weekend. Every year I meet someone I have never met before and see old friends. We would love to have you come to the Texas Show.

In answer to Tim's question, for sure a new player or a "steel guitar curious" person would get a lot out of this show. Total immersion in the world of steel guitar. There is a main stage show featuring a variety of fine players assisted by a staff band that runs Friday, Saturday and a good part of Sunday. There is a "non-pedal" venue that runs on Friday and Saturday. There is lots of great music that happens in vendor display rooms. You will get exposed to more steel guitar and steel guitars than you can count. Lots of steel guitar enthusiasts at every level attend this show. And it is a lot of fun.

We are working on the transportation from DFW. I will post as soon as I have details.

Also, the link for the Hampton Inn is on the website...it is the overflow about 5 miles away.....let us know if you need any other information. Here's the link again for the Hampton. There will be limited transportation to and from the Hampton and the Doubletree Hilton.

I called the hotel today to ask about a shuttle from the DFW airport and was told they do not offer that service. I asked if they had one from Dallas Love Field and likewise answer was no. Google searches show an estimate of $57 for Uber
Hopefully the TSGA can come up with a private service to fill in

Have just found out that self parking at the Hotel for the Jamboree is $20 per day.

Last year the hotel (Marriott) waved that fee. Is this going to happen this year at the Hilton?

mtulbert. I seem to remember Albert saying that if you are staying at the hotel, there will not be a parking fee. If you are not staying at the hotel, then their is a parking fee.
You might send the TSGA an email to confirm this.

I along with John Fields and John Slade (both from Peavey) will set up a room to show/demonstrate some new products that are already in production or about to be in production.

Prototypes of the new pedals ie, Nashville 400, Decade, VTM, Rockmaster and others will be on display.

I will have 24 of the Peavey Session-LTD 400 preamps for sale along with a few George L's cables. I will be taking pre-orders for other other Peavey/George L's/Goodrich products.

The new Nashville-Session amps are currently being built, but will not be here in time for the show.

Never fear, we are bringing enough prototypes to 'back line' the main stage, a couple of steel guitar vendor rooms and the Peavey room.
Come on by and give one a try. I will have one of my steels set up in the Peavey room or you can bring yours in and drive one of the new 112's or 115's.
The vendor rooms are a little smaller this year, than last, so you won't be able to leave your steel in the Peavey room unless you are there with it. Last year we had room for a couple of players to leave their steels set up.

On Saturday night in the main ballroom we will be auctioning off a PROTOTYPE of either the Nashville-Session 112 or 115, with proceeds benefiting the benevelent fund. Minimum bid $500
